Checklist before leaving

Please leave the house as you would leave your own house for guests (the cleaning does not include cleaning up a major mess).
Make sure the kitchen stove is turned off
Leave the main heating in the bubble on ( 15° C)
Empty the hot pot and make sure the hot pot switch on the wall is set to Off
Do the dishes ( with the dishwasher ) and stow it away
Close all windows
Pick up your trash and deposit them in the recycling center

Don't leave garbage outside if you don't like mice and foxes

There is no garbage collection in this area of Iceland.

To get there: take the road 35 to Reykholt, pass in front of the N1, go straight ahead at the roundabout.

The recycling center is located at the next roundabout, to the left.

It is accessible 24/24 by the small gate who’s always open.
